Blue Grotto, Limestone Heritage and Marsaxlokk market

Excursion to the south of the island. We commence our tour with a visit to the Blue Grotto and the other grottoes from closeby. (Boat price not included - weather permitting). we proceed our tour with a visit to an insight of Maltese history. Bringing old and new together enjoy the extensive feature within a modernised quarry that explains one of Malta's foremost trades of quarrying together with farmhouse building and stone decoration always using the limestone that gives its name to the spectacle called "The Limestone Heritage". Lastly we will visit the main fishing village of Marsaxlokk whose waterfront is lined with "luzzus" painted in traditional reds, blues and yellows that add colour to this peaceful bay once the site of the first Turkish landing during the Great Siege of 1565 where you will be given free time to spend browsing around the local market stalls.

The Village Festa

(Evening Excursion)

Between June and September every village in Malta holds its main event of the year - the village festa. It is a mixture of folklore and religion and is held in honour of the patron saint of the village. This tour includes the guided explanation of the parish church which is especially decorated for this annual event. Then we offer you to match the climax of this festa, when the statue of the patron saint, which has been carried in procession during the evening will be brought back back to the church. The statue is accompanied by the village band while aerial fireworks are let off, thus bringing to an end to the week-long festivities. The village streets are decorated with banners, fairy lights and statues. this is also a good opportunity to meet and mix with the villagers celebrating the festa. It is an event not to be missed.

Spirit of Malta

The 'Spirit of Malta' Captain Morgan's large sailing catamaran departs from Sliema at 10.00 a.m. Built for cruising, it's best way to enjoy a relaxing day at sea, sailing to the most scenic bays in Malta, Gozo and Comino. We do not have a fixed programme, we sail according to prevailing weather conditions. We stop for swimming/snorkelling in different bays and visit the famous Blue Lagoon in Comino (weather permitting). A 5 star buffet lunch is served during one of our swimming stops. Our well stocked Free Bar on board provides beers, minerals and wine throughout the day. After lunch, the party begins! Music and dancing to top hits and groovy rhythms. Comino & The Blue Lagoon

This cruise is specially designed to give the maximum time in Comino to enable you to make the most of the unforgettable crystal clear waters of the magical Blue Lagoon. An ideal day out! This cruise passes both sides of Sliema, St. Juliance, the Casino, St. Andrews, Salina Bay, St. Paul's Bay and the island where St. Paul was shipwrecked in 60 A.D., Mellieha Bay and Comino's famous Blue Lagoon. Optional speedboat rides rides visiting the caves of Comino are organised. The rest of the day is spent at one's own leisure sun bathing or swimming off the boat or going ashore to the small white sandy beach. A cold Buffet Spread, including wine is served by the Captain Morgan Stewards. We leave at approximately 3.00pm to arrive at Sliema Marina at 5.30pm. (Summer).

Full Day cruise to Gozo, Comino & the Blue Lagoon

(available on Sunays from May to October only)

The Fernandes is a beautiful 26m L.O.A. Schooner Rigged Turkish Gullet with a large forward deck covered stern deck and a large saloon. The Fernandes departs from the Sliema Marina and cruises North westwards towards Gozo. We drop anchor in a secluded bay in Gozo. En-route one sees the panoramic cliffs, coves and inlets. The rest of the morning is spent swimming, snorkelling or just sunbathing and relaxing on the large decks, while our stewards prepare a delicious Buffet. After lunch we sail towards Comino, where we drop anchor in the beautiful Blue Lagoon and spend the rest of the afternoon swimming in the magical crystal clear water of the lagoon. Fresh Fruit is served before we leave the Blue lagoon.

The latest addition to the fleet is the elegant Fernades II, a beautiful 38 metre L.O.A. two masted gaft rigged Turkish Gullet with a large forward deck and a large saloon.
