IVQ in International Tourism

Level 1 - Certificate

The Certificate (450 hours) provides a broad introduction to the theoretical and practical aspects of tourism for a front - line employee. Assessment includes a multiple – choice examination.

• The core modules at Certificate Level are:
• The Tourism Industry
• Tourism Geography
• Customer Service
• Presentation of Tourism Products and Services
• Marketing
• Reservations and Ticketing

Level 2 - Diploma

The Diploma provides for further practice involving a broader range of skills appropriate to a person who may also have some supervisory responsibilities. Assessment includes a multiple – choice examination.

• The core modules at Diploma Level are:
• The Development of the Tourism Industry
• International Tourism Geography
• Customer Service Operations
• People Development
• Business Systems
• Marketing Operations

Level 3 - Advanced Diploma

The Advanced Diploma takes these skills to the level appropriate for a person preparing for Higher Education or working in first - level management. Assessment includes a written examination.

• Managing People
• Strategic Customer Services
• Financial Control
